Instructional Aide in Ithaca, NY

A position is available for a Paraprofessional to support students in an elementary school setting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with students on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, providing individualized attention to meet their educational and developmental needs. The position is located in Ithaca, NY, within an elementary school environment, and runs on a contract basis for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students requiring specialized attention, either one-on-one or in small groups.
• Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom activities.
• Facilitate learning and social development by supporting student engagement and participation.
• Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of support.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with elementary-aged children.
• Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 or 2:1 student support capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
