Support students’ educational and developmental needs as a Paraprofessional in Kansas City, KS schools. This full-time contract opportunity (37.5 hours per week) spans various supportive roles designed to enhance the learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Positions Available (9 total):

• Two Autism/STEPS roles requiring toileting assistance at TA Edison
• Life Skills paraprofessional requiring toileting at Frances Willard
• One SLC paraprofessional at Argentine Middle School
• One SLC paraprofessional at Gloria Willis Middle School
• One Supplemental 1:1 aide at Gloria Willis Middle School
• One SLC and one medically fragile paraprofessional at Harmon High School
• One Life Skills/STEPS paraprofessional at Washington High School
• One Collaboration/SLC paraprofessional at Wyandotte High School

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support and assistance to students with special needs, including toileting support where specified
• Assist in academic activities and life skills development tailored to individual student goals
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement effective learning strategies
• Support medically fragile students with care and attention as needed
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in special education support roles is highly desirable
• Ability to assist with toileting and personal care when required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting student success
• Flexibility to work across different school environments and adapt to varied student needs
