Soliant is seeking three dedicated Level 2 Paraeducators to support instructional services in elementary classrooms located in Laconia, NH. This contract position spans the current school year and plays a vital role in providing students with equitable access to learning under the guidance of certified teachers. The ideal candidates will assist with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs, helping to create an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons, activities, and assessments
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Reinforce learning strategies and accommodations tailored to student needs
- Monitor and support student behavior following established school policies
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources as needed
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development sessions
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- New Hampshire Paraeducator Level 2 Certification (achieved through 48+ college credits, associate’s degree, ParaPro test, or portfolio)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers and staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Work Environment:
- Typical K-5 classroom setting
- May involve physical movement, lifting, and supervision both indoors and outdoors
