A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Paraprofessional to support K-12 students in an Alaskan school setting. This role focuses on assisting students with diverse needs, including 1:1 support, bus riding assistance, classroom help, and personal care such as toileting.

Position Details:

• Location: Manokotak, AK
• Duration: Contract position running from ASAP to May 31, 2026 (210 contract days)
• Schedule: 5 days onsite per week
• Student Caseload: 1:1 support plus additional responsibilities across bus and classroom settings
• School District: Serves approximately 390 students across two buildings

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized assistance to students facing developmental or learning challenges
• Support transportation routines and ensure student safety during bus rides
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate classroom activities
• Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, ensuring dignity and respect
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment tailored to each student's needs

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with children with special needs preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in dynamic educational settings
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
