1:1 Classroom Assistant | Novato, California

This position offers an opportunity to provide critical support to students in an elementary school setting in Novato, CA, for the full 2025-2026 school year. The role involves working as a Substitute Behavior Aide/Paraprofessional on a per diem, on-call basis, covering kindergarten through elementary 1:1 caseloads as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 behavioral and educational assistance to students with diverse needs.
• Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral challenges.
• Assist with toileting and personal care as necessary.
• Implement strategies to minimize student elopement and ensure student safety at all times.
• Adapt quickly to varied caseloads and work environments on short notice as a substitute.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in pediatric behavioral health, preferably within a school environment.
• Comfortable working with students requiring behavioral support and personal care.
• Ability to stay calm and effective in dynamic situations involving student behavior management.
• Flexibility to respond to on-call assignments with short notice.
