A school district in Novato, CA is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to provide essential support to elementary classrooms for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students in grades 1 through 5, delivering targeted support to help enhance learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support for 1st – 5th grade students in an elementary setting.
- Assist with push-in instruction alongside the classroom teacher.
- Conduct small group instruction under the direction of the Resource Specialist Program (RSP) teacher.
- Deliver one-on-one instruction following guidance from the RSP teacher.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support individualized student needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience supporting elementary students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with students requiring individualized attention.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Familiarity with instructional strategies used in small group and one-on-one settings.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is located in Novato, CA.
- Full-time, 5.5 paid hours per day.
- Working hours are from 8:20 AM to 2:50 PM.
- Contract begins ASAP and continues through the school year with potential for extension or transition to another role.
