Paraprofessional in Onyx, CA

Support young learners in an elementary school setting as a paraprofessional, assisting with classroom activities and providing targeted support to students aged 4 to 11. This role involves working with a small class size of 10-16 students, helping to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Location:

• On-site position in Onyx, CA

Duration:

• Contract from December 1, 2025, through May 28, 2026

Schedule:

• 27 to 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers by supporting students’ academic and behavioral needs
• Work closely with elementary-aged children to promote positive learning outcomes
• Help implement classroom activities tailored to students’ developmental levels
• Support the management of classroom behaviors to maintain a productive learning environment
• Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure students receive appropriate assistance

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting children in educational settings, particularly elementary age
• Ability to engage with students ages 4-11 in a patient and encouraging manner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work on-site during the contract period
• Ability to manage a classroom setting with 10-16 students effectively
