This opportunity seeks dedicated paraprofessionals to support K-12 students in a dynamic school district in Overland Park, KS. These full-time positions (37.5 hours/week) are contracted for the current school year, providing meaningful assistance in various educational and life skills classrooms.
Responsibilities include supporting students in Autism/STEPS programs, life skills development, supplemental aid roles, and medically fragile care. Candidates will work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individualized education plans, assist with toileting when required, and foster a safe, supportive learning environment.
Openings are available in the following areas and locations:
- Autism/STEPS (2 positions) – TA Edison
- Life Skills (1 position) – Frances Willard
- SLC (Self-Contained Classroom) (3 positions) – Argentine MS, Gloria Willis MS, and Harmon HS
- Supplemental Aide 1:1 (1 position) – Gloria Willis MS
- Para 2 Medically Fragile (1 position) – Harmon HS
- Life Skills/STEPS (1 position) – Washington HS
- Collaboration/SLC (1 position) – Wyandotte HS
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in a paraprofessional or similar support role preferred
- Ability and willingness to assist with toileting and other personal care needs as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a school team
- Experience supporting students with autism, life skills, or medically fragile conditions is a plus
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment
