An immediate-opening opportunity is available for a dedicated paraprofessional to support an elementary school setting in Ridgecrest, CA. This position focuses on one-on-one assistance with a student exhibiting aggressive behaviors, requiring a skilled and patient individual who can manage challenging situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a student demonstrating aggressive behaviors within the classroom and school environment.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to implement behavior management strategies.
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning atmosphere that encourages student growth and participation.
- Monitor and report student progress and any behavioral incidents in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional, particularly in elementary education settings.
- Proven ability to manage aggressive behaviors with de-escalation techniques and patience.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, students, and families.
- Ability to work onsite full-time, maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
