An opportunity is available for a Substitute Behavior Aide/Paraprofessional to support kindergarten through elementary students in a 1:1 caseload setting. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in pediatric behavioral health, particularly in school environments, who enjoy flexible, on-call work schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral support and paraprofessional assistance to students with diverse needs across kindergarten to elementary levels.
  • Manage 1:1 caseloads, implementing strategies to limit student elopement and ensure safety.
  • Assist with toileting and other personal care tasks as required.
  • Adapt quickly to varied assignments on short notice, maintaining a calm and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support individualized education plans and behavioral goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within schools.
  • Familiarity with supporting students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral challenges.
  • Comfort and proficiency in assisting with toileting and managing safety concerns.
  • Availability to work on-call and respond promptly to assignment requests.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, families, and educators.

Location: Santa Rosa, CA (Elementary School Setting) Job Type: Contract – Full 2025-2026 School Year, per diem/on-call basis
