Instructional Assistant - Trona, CA

Support students with special needs as a paraprofessional in an elementary school setting, providing one-on-one assistance to manage aggressive behaviors. This onsite contract position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in a supportive educational environment from now through May 28, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to a student exhibiting aggressive behaviors using de-escalation techniques and behavior management strategies
• Assist the classroom teacher with implementing educational plans tailored to the student's needs
• Monitor and document student progress and behavioral incidents
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to foster a safe learning environment

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors safely and effectively
• Male candidates are preferred to meet specific behavioral support needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to student success

Location: Trona, CA
Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week
Duration: Contract through the current school year (CSY), ending May 28, 2026
