Teacher Assistant - Trona, California

A position is available for a paraprofessional in a middle school setting located in Trona, CA. This contract role runs from January 7, 2026, through May 28, 2026, with a workload of 30-35 hours per week. The position involves working onsite only and managing a sensitive caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in delivering instructional material and guidance to students.
• Assist students with learning and social development in alignment with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Implement behavior management plans to promote a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on students’ progress and behavior to educators and support staff.
• Collaborate with the school team to tailor interventions for student success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a middle school environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive or confidential student information appropriately.
• Familiarity with working under the supervision of special education teachers.
