1:1 Care Paraeducator in York, PA

This opportunity is for a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one behavioral support for a fifth-grade student in a K-12 school setting. The student may display aggressive behaviors toward furniture, materials, and staff, and requires a PCA to help manage these behaviors effectively. This position is an urgent backfill for the 2025-2026 school year and is contracted through June 8, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent behavioral support to the student throughout the school day
• Monitor and intervene in aggressive behaviors to ensure a safe learning environment
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to implement behavior management strategies
• Maintain a calm and supportive presence, facilitating positive interactions

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors
• Previous paraprofessional or personal care assistant experience preferred
• Ability to remain patient and composed in high-stress situations
• Male candidates are highly preferred per parent request

Location:

• York, Pennsylvania (K-12 school setting)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 31.25 hours per week
• Start date: ASAP through June 8, 2026
