Job Description:

Our school district in New Lenox, Illinois is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year. As a School Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological services to students in the district. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations to assess students' strengths and needs
• Interpret assessment data to help determine eligibility for special education services
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs
• Provide counseling and other mental health services to students as needed
• Consult with teachers and parents on strategies to support student learning and behavior
• Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate and student achievement

Requirements:

• Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field
• Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Illinois
• Experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
