A full-time Physical Therapist position is available to serve students across multiple K-12 schools in the Durham, NC area. This role offers the opportunity to provide physical therapy services within an educational setting, supporting students' physical development and helping them access their educational environment effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy assessments, treatments, and interventions tailored to school-aged children across elementary, middle, and high school levels
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create individualized treatment plans
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30-40 students, adjusting interventions as needed for each age group
  • Travel to and provide services across approximately 5-9 schools, with some schools requiring fewer visits
  • Maintain documentation and progress notes in compliance with professional and district standards
  • Adapt to varying school bell schedules and district needs throughout the academic year

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Professional Physical Therapist license
  • Experience working with pediatric populations within educational or clinical settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple school visits weekly

Location and Schedule:

  • Position located in Durham, NC, serving schools within the district
  • Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week
  • School bell schedules vary by grade: Elementary (7:45 AM to 2:15 PM), Middle (8:30 AM to 3:15 PM), High School (9:15 AM to 4:15 PM)
  • Contract position spanning from September 22, 2025, to June 10, 2026
