An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential physical therapy services within a K-12 educational setting in Metairie, LA. This part-time position involves working with a caseload of 7-10 students, focusing on their varied physical therapy needs from August 2025 to May 2026.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Current Louisiana physical therapy license
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Location:
- Metairie, Louisiana
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans for students.
- Collaborate with educators and other specialists to integrate therapy goals into the classroom.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services provided.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding therapy outcomes and needs.
