A full-time Physical Therapist position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Chicopee, MA. This contract role is for the current school year and involves working Monday through Friday, with school hours from 7:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. The caseload will consist of approximately 7-8 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled physical therapy services to students with diverse needs within a school environment.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary approach to student care.
- Support student mobility and functional independence to facilitate educational participation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapy license to practice in Massachusetts.
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy assessment, intervention, and documentation.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time position: 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- School day hours: 7:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
- Location: Chicopee, Massachusetts.
