Title: Licensed Physical Therapist

Responsibilities:

• Identify the limitations of students and develop a therapeutic plan that establishes a course of action and a timeline for recovery.
• Administer Physical Therapist intervention using evidence-based practices that specifically address a student’s requirements.
• Documentation of evaluations, daily progression updates, and discharge summaries.
• Collaboration with administrators and the therapy team of SLPs, OTs, and PTs.
• Educate students, parents, and caregivers on self-administered home stretching or exercise that complements the student’s therapy sessions.
• Promote the overall safety, health, and well-being of all students located within the facility.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Position Details:

• Type: Full-Time (37.50 hours per week) – Guaranteed paid hours
• Term: Immediate – June 2024 (with the ability to renew for another full schoolyear)
• Compensation: $55.00 - $68.00 per hour, based on experience

• Caseload: Multiple ages (K-12) across the district

Requirements:

• Active State of California – Physical Therapist Licensure
• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably with a student caseload in a public school-district.
