Physical Therapist - School Setting in Durham, NC

A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available within a K-12 school district located in Durham, NC. This contract position spans the current school year, starting in late September and continuing through early June. The role involves supporting students across multiple schools, ranging from approximately five to nine locations, with visit frequency varying based on each school's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services to a caseload of 30 to 40 students, spanning elementary through high school ages.
• Coordinate and deliver therapy sessions aligned with each school's bell schedule (elementary: 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM; middle school: 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM; high school: 9:15 AM to 4:15 PM), with some schedule adjustments as required by district.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
• Travel between assigned schools as necessary to fulfill therapeutic service requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid professional license to practice physical therapy.
• Previous experience working in school-based settings is preferred.
• Strong ability to multitask and manage a caseload across multiple sites.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel.
