Providing physical therapy services within a K-12 school setting in Durham, NC, this role supports students across approximately 5 to 9 schools. The position runs from late September 2025 through early June 2026 and involves a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, aligned with varied school bell schedules for elementary, middle, and high schools. The caseload typically includes 30 to 40 students, focusing on delivering targeted therapy interventions to enhance student mobility and participation in educational activities.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with educators and families, and documenting progress in compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires flexibility to accommodate ranging school hours and visits that may vary between schools, some requiring only 1-2 visits monthly. Physical therapists will work onsite within the school district to provide hands-on support and contribute to student wellness.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Physical Therapy license.
  • Experience working with children in educational or pediatric therapy settings.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 30-40 students effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with school staff and families.
