Physical Therapist - School Setting in Florissant, MO

A school-based physical therapy professional is needed to support K-12 students in Florissant, MO, for the upcoming school year. This contract position involves providing direct and consultative physical therapy services within a diverse student population ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services two days per week, with flexibility in scheduling based on school needs.
• Provide direct intervention to approximately 30 students across the district, including those requiring weekly and monthly sessions.
• Conduct consultation services on a monthly or quarterly basis for additional students.
• Serve as the supervisor for the physical therapy assistant (PTA) who will be on maternity leave, managing the increased workload initially and overseeing the caseload distribution.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to create individualized care plans that support student development and participation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in both healthcare and school settings.
• Ability to adapt to a varied caseload spanning multiple grade levels.
• Strong organizational skills and supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with school staff, families, and therapy teams.
