In a dynamic educational environment, professionals are sought to provide essential physical therapy services to students with diverse needs. This role is centered in Hartford, CT, within a K-12 school setting, serving ages 8 to 21.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to develop individualized physical therapy plans aligned with student IEP goals.
- Deliver direct therapy services and offer consultative support across multiple school sites.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators and other therapy professionals, to enhance student outcomes.
- Focus on supporting students' functional mobility, safety, and independence in both academic and vocational contexts.
- Maintain documentation of services provided and student progress as per school and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one before starting.
- Strong preference for experience in school-based or pediatric settings.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices.
Location:
- Hartford, CT, serving at two school sites.
