Physical Therapist - School Setting in New Haven, CT

A part-time physical therapist is needed for leave coverage in a K-12 school setting, providing therapy services to students across all grade levels. This position offers an opportunity to support student health and mobility while working within an educational environment.

Location:

• New Haven, CT

Position Details:

• Part-time, 26 hours per week
• Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Contract duration: Current school year, starting ASAP for several weeks

Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students in grades K-12 according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress
• Assist in developing treatment plans to enhance students’ functional abilities and participation in school activities
• Comply with all applicable regulations and school policies related to therapy service delivery

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) credential valid for practice in Connecticut
• Experience providing therapy services in school-based settings preferred
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for pediatric populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility to cover a leave and adapt to a temporary assignment
