A K-12 educational institution in New Rochelle, NY is seeking a dedicated physical therapist to provide support throughout the current school year under a contract agreement. This role is essential in helping to enhance the physical well-being and development of students across various grade levels, contributing to their overall academic success and quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering physical therapy services tailored to the needs of children within a K-12 school setting
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Providing guidance and training to staff on the physical needs of students
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards within the school environment
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid PT licensure and certification appropriate for school-based therapy
- Experience working with children in school or pediatric settings
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and maintain accurate records
The position offers either one full-time or two part-time opportunities, accommodating different scheduling preferences to best meet the school's needs. This contract role is available for the duration of the current school year.
