A part-time Physical Therapist position is available for a contract lasting the full school year at a K-12 educational institution in Saint Louis, MO. This role involves delivering direct physical therapy services and consultations to students across all grade levels, from Pre-K through 12th grade.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing physical therapy services two days a week, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate operational needs.
- Directly working with approximately 30 students across the district, some receiving weekly or monthly therapy and others requiring periodic consultation.
- Serving as the supervisor for the current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who is on maternity leave at the start of the year, managing the increased workload during this period.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with relevant policies.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based and healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with the needs of a diverse student population ranging from Pre-K to high school students.
- Strong supervisory skills and the ability to manage workload fluctuations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Commitment to supporting student health and development within educational environments.
