A K-12 educational institution in Stone Mountain, GA is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to provide support throughout the current school year on a contract basis. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with students and staff in a dynamic school environment, contributing to the growth and success of children requiring physical therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students with diverse needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
- Monitor and adjust therapy interventions based on student response and progress.
- Provide consultative support to educators regarding physical accessibility and adaptive equipment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Georgia.
- Experience working within K-12 school settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy practices and interventions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and educational staff.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school-based therapy procedures.
