Seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with experience in school settings to support elementary students in San Luis, AZ. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of children throughout the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for elementary students
  • Help improve students’ motor skills, strength, and coordination to enhance participation in school activities
  • Monitor and document student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents
  • Support students with mobility and physical challenges to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment as advised by the supervising physical therapist

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed and certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) credential
  • Prior experience working within elementary school or pediatric settings preferred
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and physical therapy interventions suited to young children
  • Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team

Location: San Luis, Arizona — work onsite at an elementary school
