Physical Therapist Assistant - Wellton, Arizona

Providing physical therapy support in an elementary school setting, this contract position offers a full-time, onsite role based in Wellton, AZ. The assignment runs through the current school year, ending May 27, 2026.

Key responsibilities include assisting with the evaluation of students' gross motor development and functional capabilities, as well as assessing classroom environments. The goal is to optimize students’ participation and develop tailored recommendations. The caseload primarily involves K-8 itinerant services.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Current Arizona Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
• Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged children
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators and families
• Ability to perform evaluations, document findings, and contribute to developing student-focused therapy plans
