A school district in Escondido, CA, is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 support for a middle school student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This contract position runs through the current school year (CSY) and offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, totaling 32.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering ABA-based, one-on-one behavioral support tailored to the student’s needs.
- Implementing intervention strategies to address avoidance and peer conflict behaviors.
- Collecting and documenting data on student progress and behavior.
- Collaborating with teachers, behavior specialists, and parents to promote student success.
- Maintaining professionalism and using effective de-escalation techniques in challenging situations.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential through the BACB (required).
- Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification (required).
- Experience working with students with ASD preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and apply de-escalation strategies effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
