This full-time, 37.5-hour per week contract position supports a first-grade student with social-emotional and self-regulation needs in an elementary school setting located in Providence, RI. The role requires providing one-on-one assistance to ensure the student’s academic and behavioral success throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavioral interventions and support plans focused on social-emotional skills and self-regulation.
- Record detailed and accurate behavioral data in compliance with established protocols.
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviors using evidence-based strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other educational staff.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for the student.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in data collection and behavior management with young children.
- Ability to implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity.
- Experience working in elementary school settings or with early elementary students.
- Consideration may be given to experienced behavior aides who meet the data recording and behavioral management requirements.
