A Seattle-area opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) to support middle school students during the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time contract position offers a chance to work closely with students in a combination of in-home and school settings. The role requires specialized skills in behavior support and the ability to engage with students and families using trauma-informed methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 behavior support tailored to secondary school students.
  • Deliver services both in home environments and at school sites.
  • Utilize de-escalation and anxiety-reduction techniques effectively.
  • Employ trauma-informed practices in all interactions.
  • Model and coach parents or caregivers on behavior plans and strategies.
  • Build rapport with students who may be hesitant about structured learning.
  • Work independently as the sole provider within family homes that have active caregiver and sibling presence.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Certified Behavior Technician (CBT).
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students in behavior support roles.
  • Strong skills in managing challenging behaviors through positive interventions.
  • Comfort and competence working independently in a family home setting.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with caregivers and school staff.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and strategies to reduce student anxiety.

Position Details:

  • Location: Seattle, WA (combination of in-home and school sites).
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:30 am – 2:15 pm; Wednesday 8:30 am – 2:00 pm.
  • Weekly hours: 32.5 hours.
  • Contract duration: Immediate start through June 23, 2026.
  • Caseload focus: Secondary school students.
