A school in Troy, OH, is seeking a full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for an 8th-grade student with autism. This contract position requires a compassionate and skilled professional to work from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, supporting the student's unique communication and behavioral needs within the educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to an 8th-grade student diagnosed with autism.
- Implement and reinforce Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Support the student in using Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) as a primary communication method.
- Monitor progress and document behavioral data accurately.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in developing and adapting behavior intervention plans tailored to the student's needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential is required.
- Experience working with school-age children, particularly those with autism, is preferred.
- Knowledge of PECS and ABA methodologies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally with students and staff.
- Reliable availability to consistently start work at 7:00 AM.
