A full-time Registered Nurse is needed to provide leave coverage in a K-12 school setting located in Auburn, NY. This position offers a contracted role covering a leave from March 23, 2026, through June 26, 2026, with a standard workweek of 40 hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including a 30-minute paid lunch.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and support to a caseload of approximately 500 students from UPK to 5th grade
- Manage health assessments, medication administration, and emergency care according to school policies
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote student health and well-being
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with school personnel to develop health plans and implement wellness initiatives
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Prior experience as a school nurse is preferred
- Ability to handle a caseload of up to 500 students with varied health needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of K-12 health regulations and protocols
