An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in school nursing to provide essential health care services in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position supports students’ health and well-being throughout the academic school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, addressing acute and chronic health issues within the school environment.
• Administer medications and treatments in compliance with physician orders and state regulations.
• Conduct health screenings, manage immunization records, and monitor student health status.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized healthcare plans.
• Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives for students and staff.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records, documenting all nursing interventions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of health care practices related to pediatric populations and school settings.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to assess and manage a diverse array of student health needs.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
