A full-time School Nurse is needed to provide leave coverage from March 23, 2026, through June 26, 2026, in a K-12 school setting. The role requires a Registered Nurse to support the health and well-being of approximately 500 students, from UPK through grade 5, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including a 30-minute paid lunch.
Location: Baldwinsville, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: Leave coverage (3/23/26 – 6/26/26)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and health services to students in a school environment
- Manage and maintain student health records and comply with relevant health regulations
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student health plans
- Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders
- Promote health education and preventive healthcare measures
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience as a School Nurse preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of 500 students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
