School RN in Hillsborough, NH

A licensed Nurse (LPN or RN) is sought to provide 1:1 substitute nursing support at a middle school in Hillsborough, NH on a contract basis for the current school year. This position involves closely monitoring a student’s specialized medical needs during the school day in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care to a student, ensuring safety and comfort throughout assigned shifts
• Monitor and manage residual and delay bolus feeding through pump and G-tube
• Assess and record heart rate and oxygen saturation as required
• Perform oral and nasal suctioning along with wound care for oral or mouth wounds
• Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to maintain consistent medical support

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with valid state licensure
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Ability to perform specialized feeding tube care and suctioning procedures confidently
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with school personnel and caregiving team

Work Schedule Highlights:

• February 2 (7:00-8:30 am), with flexibility to extend hours up to half-day
• February 14, 15, 16 (7:00 am - 2:30 pm)
• March 13 (11:00 am - 2:30 pm), March 16 (7:00-8:30 am with possible extended hours)
• March 25-27, March 30-31 (7:00 am - 2:30 pm)
• May 6, 7 and May 12-14 (7:00 am - 2:30 pm)
