School RN in Jersey City, NJ

A Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide nursing care for a student in a private K-12 school setting. This role is based in Jersey City, NJ, and involves working on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). The assignment requires availability on Mondays and Wednesdays to support a student who uses a wheelchair and has an established seizure care plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and support according to the student’s specific health needs and seizure plan.
• Accompany the student on the bus to and from school to ensure safety and manage any health-related issues during transportation.
• Monitor and document the student’s condition, responding promptly to any medical needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, family, and healthcare providers to maintain coordinated care.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations within the school setting.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
• Ability to manage seizure plans and provide care to students with mobility challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel with the student on school transportation.
