Registered Nurse School Setting - Joliet, IL

A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide comprehensive nursing care within a high school setting. This role operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM, supporting the health and well-being of students during the academic year on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and 504 plans
• Manage the general nursing needs of the student population, including care for sick students and health assessments
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school health policies and procedures
• Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of student health needs and relevant nursing practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
• Proficient in maintaining confidential health records and adherence to privacy regulations
• Comfortable managing multiple students’ health needs throughout the school day
