This opportunity is for two Registered Nurses to provide essential healthcare services within a K-12 school setting in Kenai, Alaska. The roles involve supporting student health by delivering nursing care, managing health plans, and ensuring a safe environment across school facilities for students and staff alike.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare preferred
• Ability to manage multiple healthcare needs and emergencies
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility for itinerant nursing in one position

Locations and Positions:

• Position 1: Based in Central Kenai/Soldotna, situated at an elementary school, full-time from ASAP through the end of the school year.
• Position 2: Itinerant role based in Homer, AK area covering one elementary school, three K-12 schools, and one middle school. Full-time through end of the school year.

Core Responsibilities:

• Providing direct nursing care to students including assessment, treatment, and health education
• Managing chronic conditions and administering medications as prescribed
• Collaborating with school staff and families to support student well-being
• Documenting care and maintaining accurate health records
• Responding effectively to health emergencies and facilitating referrals as needed
