Registered Nurse School Setting - Providence, RI

Bring your expertise as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified School Nurse (CSN) to a vibrant educational community for the remainder of the school year. This dynamic contract position offers the opportunity to support student health and well-being at a bustling secondary campus near Providence, RI, through June 17th. As the Health Room nurse, you’ll have your own dedicated office, serving as a resource for students who require care during the school day.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide professional nursing services to students when they're feeling unwell, ensure timely medication administration, and contribute to a safe, supportive environment for students and staff alike. Working closely with school staff, you will be an essential part of the campus community, enhancing the educational experience by promoting health and safety.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid RN license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
• Experience working with adolescents preferred
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in urgent situations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Previous school nursing or pediatric experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Addressing students’ immediate health concerns as they visit the health office
• Administering prescribed medications and maintaining accurate records
• Monitoring students with chronic conditions or special medical needs
• Communicating with parents/guardians and school staff regarding student health plans
• Following district and state health protocols
