A contracted Registered Nurse position is available in a school setting located in Roseville, CA. This role focuses on providing essential healthcare services to students and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct health assessments and screenings in compliance with school and state regulations
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans
- Provide health education and counseling to students, parents, and staff
- Collaborate with school personnel and external healthcare providers to coordinate care and respond to emergencies
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with privacy laws
- Participate in health promotion initiatives and support a positive school climate
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in California
- Experience working in pediatric or school health nursing preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and respond promptly to health concerns
- Knowledge of school health laws, immunizations, and emergency protocols
