School RN in Sterling, AK

A healthcare organization is seeking two full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) to support K-12 schools in the Sterling, Alaska area for the current school year (CSY) contract.

Positions Available:

• Position 1: Based at an elementary school in the Central Kenai/Soldotna area.
• Position 2: Itinerant role covering one elementary school, three K-12 schools, and one middle school in the Homer, Alaska area.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care to students and staff within assigned schools.
• Perform health assessments, administer medications, and manage health plans.
• Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health.
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and maintain accurate health records.
• Promote wellness programs and health education initiatives tailored to the school community.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with K-12 student health requirements and protocols.

Location:

• Sterling, Alaska, including Central Kenai/Soldotna and Homer areas.
