A school district is seeking a dedicated professional to fill a crucial role within their educational environment. This full-time position is designed for the upcoming school year and involves working closely with students across two charter schools.
Qualifications:
- Valid school psychologist credential or license
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of educational laws and regulations
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment
Location: McKinleyville, CA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Provide direct counseling services to students and develop suitable interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
- Serve as a resource for faculty and staff regarding mental health and wellness
- Develop and implement IEPs and monitor their effectiveness
