A school psychologist is sought to support an elementary school serving students in the Aurora, IL area. This contract position is for the current school year and will involve working approximately 35 hours per week with an elementary-aged caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for 20-24 students, based on IEP requirements
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective intervention plans
- Monitoring student progress and providing counseling or support services as appropriate
- Consulting with school staff to promote a positive learning environment and address behavioral or emotional concerns
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
Desired qualifications or experience:
- Valid credential or license as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children within a school setting
- Ability to manage caseload effectively and balance multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage families and educators
