Step into a dynamic contract role supporting educational excellence as a school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. Starting August 3rd, you'll work with a diverse caseload of over 900 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, making a direct impact on individual learning journeys while collaborating at every level of the district.

Your expertise in psycho-educational assessment and keen understanding of child development will be invaluable as you determine students’ eligibility for special services in alignment with Nebraska Rule 51. As a leader within the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), you’ll facilitate effective problem-solving for both groups and individuals, ensuring every learner gets the support they need. Participation in Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings will put you at the forefront of critical decision-making as you work closely with educators to design targeted intervention strategies.

You’ll also act as a trusted consultant to teachers, parents, and administrators, advising on mental health, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate best practices. In addition, you’ll provide direct support through individual and group counseling for students facing behavioral or emotional challenges, creating space for positive growth and development.

What we’re seeking:

  • Valid Nebraska Department of Education certificate with K-12 School Psychologist Field Endorsement
  • Demonstrated experience with psycho-educational evaluation and eligibility determination under Nebraska Rule 51
  • Strong background in MTSS leadership and collaborative teaming
  • Ability to provide effective consultation and counseling services across K-12 settings
  • Skilled in both assessment and intervention for diverse student needs
