A highly motivated and compassionate professional is sought to serve as a School Psychologist at an elementary school in Boston, MA. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in supporting student development, mental health, and academic success within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to support student well-being
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and effectiveness of interventions
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to promote a positive school climate and address barriers to learning
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively within a school community
- Familiarity with laws and regulations governing special education and student services
