This full-semester contract position is for a licensed School Psychologist to provide support within a K-12 setting in Burnsville, MN. The role requires a strong foundation in assessment, compliance, and collaboration to serve a diverse student population and support special education processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluation psychological assessments with comprehensive, defensible report writing
- Ensure adherence to IDEA and Minnesota Rule 3525 compliance requirements
- Support development and implementation of medical diagnoses, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and risk/threat assessments
- Collaborate within the Minnesota Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MnMTSS) framework providing consultation and timely completion of due process in special education documentation
- Maintain regular availability for at least two school days per week throughout the academic term
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Professional Educator License Board (PELSB) School Psychologist license
- Demonstrated expertise in thorough psychological evaluations and clear report writing in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Ability to consult effectively with educators and families to support student success
- Must pass a background check
Contract Details:
- Position term: 2025–2026 academic year with an option for extension
- Full semester contract with consistent schedule aligned to school calendar
