A K-12 school in Central Falls, RI is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support the diverse educational and emotional needs of students throughout the academic year. This full-time contracted position offers an opportunity to apply psychological principles in a dynamic school environment, helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to support student learning and behavior.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed to students.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional insights.
- Monitor student progress and adjust support plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on student evaluations and interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and data interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals.
- Understanding of diverse student needs, including special education requirements.
