An opportunity exists for skilled professionals specializing in school psychology within an educational setting. This contract position focuses on providing essential psychological services to K-12 students, ensuring their educational and emotional well-being throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
- Westfield, MA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a range of behavioral and emotional issues
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies that support student learning and well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide training and support to staff and parents regarding mental health and wellness
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
