A full-semester contract position is available for an in-person school psychologist to provide support during a long-term leave. This role involves working with K-12 students, focusing primarily on middle school and preschool populations in a school setting located in Des Plaines, IL.

Key responsibilities include assisting with initial and reevaluation assessments for students with disabilities at both the Early Learning Center and Middle School. The school psychologist will manage 504 plans for the middle school, conducting evaluations and facilitating 504 plan reviews. Additional duties involve developing functional behavior analyses and behavior intervention plans, collaborating with the social work team to address academic and behavioral challenges through a problem-solving approach, and actively participating in the Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS) process.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement
  • Experience conducting initial and reevaluations for special education eligibility
  • Knowledge of 504 plan management and compliance
  • Ability to develop behavior intervention plans and functional behavior assessments
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with MTSS implementation and processes

  • Duration: Immediate start through April 2026
